Dr. Di Iorio graduated with honors from New York University and earned his Doctor of Medicine from Rutgers University Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. After completing an internship in general surgery and a residency in diagnostic radiology, he completed a fellowship in vascular & interventional radiology at Brown University where he also served on the faculty of the Warren Alpert School of Medicine of Brown University.
Dr. Di Iorio is board certified in both Vascular and Interventional Radiology and Diagnostic Radiology. He was also one of the first in the country to be certified by the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine. Dr. Di Iorio has earned multiple advanced ultrasound certifications becoming a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation, a Registered Vascular Technologist and a Registered Phlebology Sonographer, certifications that document the highest standard in vascular ultrasound examination and interpretation.
Dr. Di Iorio is a nationally recognized expert in the field of venous disease and has performed over 20,000 vein treatment procedures. He is a frequent speaker at national meetings and has authored multiple peer reviewed publications on varicose vein treatment including co-authoring the Society of Vascular Surgery, American Venous Forum and American Vein and Lymphatic Society Clinical Practice Guidelines for the Management of Varicose Veins of the Lower Extremities. Dr. Di Iorio has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the American Vein and Lymphatic Society (AVLS) and is a past director of the Foundation for Venous and Lymphatic Medicine. Due to his substantial commitment and contribution to the specialty of vein disease treatment through volunteerism, authored publications, education, years of practice and leadership, Dr. Di Iorio has been awarded Fellow status by the AVLS. There are currently less than 100 practicing fellows in the United States. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, running and spending time with his wife and 3 daughters.
